In a bid to ensure every government department is up to speed with data delivery and management, most departments are already updating their respective officers in matters information technology.
One of such is the livestock and fisheries department, which kicked off on Wednesday in Kisii County.
Speaking to this writer on Wednesday morning, Nyanza Information Technology coordinator, Dadeous Ouko said that the programme is set to benefit all extension officers from Kisii County, on how to deliver information digitally and general sharing of data with other government departments.
Ouko further expressed his satisfaction on the response from the officers, which he said was positive despite the logistical and other technical challenges they are facing, and hoped the whole training will run smoothly.
He however requested all the officers in attendance to keep a keen eye on the four-day training as way of keeping themselves abreast in all information in line with their profession.
The digital training programme in the Western Kenya region has been running for the last five days, where it covered Migori, Kisumu, Homabay, Kakamega among other counties in the region.
