Speaking at Ogango Primary School through their representative Tabitha Oloo on Monday morning after various complainants of attempted theft in their houses, the furious Carwash Ogango residents called upon landlords to see their houses were properly fenced to reduce easy access in the compounds.

The representative said that security in Ogango is so wanting stating that the area MCA, Chief and landlords should work in unison to ensure the tenants’ safety is given a priority adding that police patrol in the estates should be increased to curb the rampant attempts to steal.

“Security within estates needs to be enhanced, it can be improved when residential buildings are properly fenced to give thieves hard time to have easy access to houses and nearby bushes cut short to clear places used by the thieves as their hideouts.

“Police patrol also should be tightened and numbers of police should be added to reduce attempts of theft cases. We call upon our area MCA to help us enhance security in our residential places,” noted Oloo.

Area landlords’ representative Christopher Omollo, also in attendance, welcome the same sentiments in lapse on security in the estates, challenging other landlords to see their houses are properly fenced to stop attempts of theft through easy access.

According to Omollo, when there is unison among the affected, the landlords and leaders in place, insecurity would be highly dealt with.

“We want to see our tenants and locals leave without fear of attack by suspected thieves, we therefore urge every person to get responsible as security is to be safeguarded by each individual.
