Kitutu Masaba Member of Parliament Timothy Bosire has challenged Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama to have professionals and experienced individuals to work for various ministries.

According to the MP, county development fails through county officers who do not know how to handle the work in their ministries.

Speaking on Sunday at a fundraiser held at Riakorongo Catholic Church in Kitutu Masaba, the lawmaker noted that if the governor Nyagama wants to ‘shine’ in development projects in his county, he should have qualified people to handle different ministries in his government.

“We as members of parliament we are ready to work with governor Nyagarama hand in hand for developing our county, but we advise him to have experienced people in his ministries to work for a particular ministry,” noted Bosire.

Bosire and other MPs from the county further lauded Nyagarama for sacking six officers who are alleged to have misappropriated county funds.

At the same time, Nyamira Women Representative Alice Chae proposed that Nyamira county ministers involved in corruption should face serious action.

“If we want to reduce corruption cases in Nyamira County, those ministers who were sacked should face serious action,” said Chae.
