Nyamira County Women Rep Alice Nyanchoka Chae and the Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire have called on the wananchi to ask the leaders they elected to openly tell them how they have spent money meant for development so far.
Speaking at a funeral in Tombe in Kitutu Masaba constituency, in Nyamira County, the two leaders said that everyone has the right to know how their leaders have and are undertaking their development plans.
The leaders also called on the residents to pray for the country as the government is fighting to bring an end to corruption which has been a nightmare for so long.
“Let the truth be told and accountability be put open for the people from both the national and the county governments and let everyone be responsible as leaders and set a good example for our children,” said Chae.
Bosire also said that time for politics was gone and it was now time for the leaders to work as he called on them to work with the little they get to bring to the people development adding that Kenya needs the justice it has been seeking for so long for better development.
Chae also gave a 5000 litres water tank to Nyagechenche primary school and promised to talk to the national government to ensure they employ more teachers to the school that has only 8 teachers.
