According to Resident Magistrate Doreen Mulekyo, bhang was illegal in the country but the way in which Njoroge casually took the case was worth the check up.
“Bhang makes me eat, two puffs are enough to get my appetite right,” the accused told the court.
He further went ahead to say that be pitied officers who arrested him arguing that on the said day, he had only a small amount bang on him.
“What police found on me was nothing, I am always in possession of larger amounts but please forgive me madam, I will soon find an alternative appetizer,” he begged.
Njoroge was full of praise to the illegal herb saying that his good health was attributed to the forbidden puff.
Magistrate Mulekyo ruled for the medical check up awaiting a court verdict on 26 July.
