A man from Nyamasebe village, Gucha committed suicide by taking poison on Wednesday evening after finding his wife with another man in a lodging in Ogembo town.
Ogechi Maera was bitter after finding his wife red handed with a boda boda operator in Ogembo town.
Ogechi allegedly consumed a pesticide and was pronounced dead on arrival at Gucha Sub County Hospital.
He was allegedly tipped by friends who saw his wife with the new lover and he went to witness for himself.
The boda boda operator who had found a new lover received a through beating from members of the public and was rescued by community policing officials.
Confirming the incident, area assistant chief Mr Robert Isoe said that boda boda operators have developed a habit of luring unsuspecting girls and ladies into unprotected sex because they are presumed to have a lot of money.
“Such women do not bear in mind the dangers they are exposing themselves to and those they relate with intimately,” said Isoe.
The remains of Ogechi were taken to Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital Mortuary.
