A 24 –year-old man was on Tuesday arraigned before a Kisumu court charged with three counts of robbery.
Aggrey Omwogo denied the charged before Kisumu chief magistrate Lucy Gitari for the offences that the prosecution said were committed between July 10 and 20, this year in Kisumu.
According to the prosecution, Omwogo is accused of committing the first offence in Milimani Estate on July 10, where he broke into the house of Gerishom Omollo.
He is alleged to have stolen an iPad and two Samsung mobile phones of undisclosed value.
On July 16, the court heard, the accused broke into his neighbour’s house in Manyatta, where he stole a decoder, a microwave and an electric kettle.
Thirdly, Omwogo is alleged to have unlawfully gained access into the house of Purity Atieno also a resident of Manyatta Estate and stole a television set.
He is alleged to have committed the offence on July 20.
The prosecution said that Atieno reported the matter to the police whose investigations led to the arrest of the accused, where other stolen items were recovered.
Police, said the prosecution, managed to trace them to the owners who said they had been stolen.
Omwogo was released on a Sh10, 000 cash bail pending the hearing of the case on September 2.
