Kikuyu Ward MCA Binary Wainaina has hailed Kiambu County government for conducting a public participation forum for the Finance Bill 2015.
Speaking on Thursday at the forum in ACK Kikuyu Township, Wainaina also lauded the various stake holders like slaughter houses, business community, chamber of commerce, bodaboda and taxi representatives for participating in the event.
Wainaina said Kiambu County will go far as long as openness and accountability is maintained.
The MCA pledged to work with the county government in fostering development in his area of jurisdiction urging residents not to be misled by politicians whose intention is to derail the development of the county.
“Do not be misled by politicians who seek political mileage in the county. Critics must be there and we must work towards development and not towards hate speech that is running through the media,” said Wainaina.
The MCA further promised to work in fulfilling his manifesto and urged residents to remain calm and give him time to develop the region.
Wainaina called on his counterparts to join hands in fostering development in the county and unite towards achieving one goal.
“I urge my fellow leaders not to let the politics of 2013 to continue to tear us apart but unite in achieving a common goal which is bringing Kiambu forward since other things are just petty politics,” said Wainaina.
