Kiplombe Ward representative and leader of minority in Uasin Gishu County Assembly, Ramadhan Ali has called on county leaders to address security issues affecting the county with urgency.
The MCA said this when addressing the assembly where he condemned what he termed as the runaway insecurity in Eldoret Town.
"The number of killings in this county are on the rise, but what is the county doing to provide safety to citizens?" he said.
Ali demanded an answer from Majority Leader, Josphat Lowoi who asked for more time to consult the security committee for a conclusive response.
"We also need justice for all those who have been killed in these incidents. The perpetrators must be brought to book," he said.
Earlier this week, three security guards were killed in Maili Nne area in addition to other killings recently reported in the county including the killing of a 17-year-old class seven boy in Kesses.
On Friday, residents of Langas also took to the streets to protest over the killing of a prominent businessman in the estate.
The county speaker Isaac Terer directed Lowoi to report to the assembly on Thursday October 1, saying security was a critical issue.
