Two errant drivers were set free after a Nakuru court heard and accepted their mitigation.

David Njenga and Joseph Kinyua pleaded guilty when they appeared before resident magistrate Peter Mungai.

The court heard that on September 21, they were caught driving different vehicles with damaged windscreens along Nakuru- Nairobi Highway.

They were taken to Nakuru Police Station where they were charged with the offence.

In mitigation, Njenga told the court that the windscreen of the vehicle he was driving had cracked the previous day and he was in the process of having it repaired.

Kinyua also told the court said he had just bought the vehicle and was arrested on his way home hoping to repair it the following day.

Releasing them, the magistrate warned that they should have the windscreen repaired immediately.
