Internet cafe operators in Mlolongo town and environs have been warned against exposing children to sites that corrupt their morals.
Addressing the press in his office on Thursday, Mlolongo Assistant County Commissioner, Obed Mose, said children from the town were more vulnerable to the vice.
"Cyber operators in Mlolongo who allow children access obscene sites are corrupting their morals," said Mose.
According to Mose, some of those engaged in the business in the town are not keen on what sites children access whenever they seek their services.
Mose noted that several children had been reportedly visiting known cyber cafes in Mlolongo to access sites which are not child friendly.
"The sites give them obscene information and pornographic photographs which corrupt their minds with ability of eventually compromising their morals," he said.
The commissioner observed that the cases increase during school holidays when the town experiences an influx of children who travel either from boarding schools or rural homes.
Mose said that such practice is illegal and any cyber operators found allowing it would be apprehended.
