Government officers in Kitutu Chache North constituency have been urged to mobilise residents who were registered to receive mosquito nets to go for them at the various centres.
Addressing stakeholders on Tuesday at Marani during the nets distribution stakeholders' forum, Marani public health officer Thomas Oirere said that all measures have been put in place to distribute mosquito nets in 41 posts in the constituency, whereby more than 74,658 mosquito nets will be given out.
“We have measures in place and the nets are in the distribution centers awaiting distribution, which will commerce in October 29,” said Mr Oirere.
He challenged all stakeholders to make sure that all registered residents receive the nets to protect themselves from mosquito bites during El Nino season to prevent malaria disease.
“It is my advice to all residents through our stakeholders from different departments to make sure that residents receive these mosquito nets in their designated posts,” he added.
