The Maseno Anglican Church of Kenya Mission Hospital is encouraging uncircumcised men to visit the hospital to undergo the male cut.
The hospital's Public Relations Officer Kwendo Amburi said the exercise that began on Monday October 5 will be conducted daily until October 2016.
He said parents with uncircumcised sons should take them to the facility for the cut.
Mr Amburi was optimistic the turn out will increase with the closure of schools in December.
He attributed the low turnout during the launch of the exercise to the absence of boys who are currently away at school.
"Circumcision has been there before, we should now embrace modern medical male cuts to avoid the risks accompanied by the traditional one," Amburi said while addressing some of the patients at the facility on Monday after the launch.
The call comes at a time statistics from the National Aids Control Council indicate that Kisumu remains one of the counties heavily affected by the HIV/Aids disease.
According to the figure, Kisumu is the third county nationally with the highest HIV/Aids prevalence rate standing at over 15 per cent.
