Ruiru MP Esther Gathogo on Friday came to the rescue of over 100 children who would have failed to report to school for lack of school fees.

The MP cleared school fees arrears for all the children and promised them her office would always come to their aid whenever need arises.

Ms Gathogo said she would make it a priority to ensure school going children do not drop out of school for lack of school fees.

Most of those who benefited from the MPs education fund were orphans and children from humble background whose parents cannot raise school fees.

The TNA legislator came to the salvage of the children when she toured Christ Our Refuge Children Home in Ruiru.

The beneficiaries of the fund were disadvantaged children from Ebenezer, Faith Rescue Centre and Christ Our Refuge Children's Homes in Ruiru town.

Over 500 children dined with the MP who offered to prepare lunch for them.

She lauded Kiambu Governor William Kabogo for his relentless efforts towards ensuring education standards improve in the county.
