Since Saturday, hundreds of people have been visiting the newly opened Naivas Supermarket Limuru branch to window shop, buy commodities and have a feel of the new supermarket in town.
At the supermarket's entrance is a Naivas Cafe, where customers can sit and enjoy a meal. There is also a food bar from where one can buy food and other snacks.
The supermarket is currently located on the ground and first floor, with foodstuffs, drinks and household consumables on the first floor.
The electronics, clothes, utensils and others things are on the second floor. The two areas of operation are connected by a staircase on one side and an alley on the other.
On the grand opening date (Saturday), the place was milling with customers. There were also artists performing different songs to entertain the surging crowds.
Tabitha Muthoni who shopped at the premises said, "I came here to see what the supermarket has in store for us and also see how it looks like."
Sales were at discounted prices with gifts attached for every unit product.
Naivas Supermarket is the newest supermarket in town, an area that is attracting many investors. Located 40m behind Naivas, Proctor & Allan factory is under development, and 30m away is Tuskys Mall also under development.
Naivas will compete with Cleanshelf, Wingmatt, Limumatt and other small supermarkets in the town.
