County executives have been challenged to ensure effective service delivery in order to ensure that Nakuru's development is adhered to.

According to Deputy Governor, Joseph Ruto commitment was key in ensuring that all the needs of the people are dealt with passionately.

Speaking at the County Assembly headquarters on Wednesday after attending a session with MCA’s and other county staff; Ruto noted that it was only through performance that the people of Nakuru would enjoy the fruits of the devolved system of government.

“All of us particularly the County Executives must deliver as per the expectations of the taxpayers because of the general believe that they are the controllers of development funds in their respective ministries,” he noted.

He called for everyone in leadership positions to push for the realisation of the County’s development agenda in a more inclusive manner.

“As leaders,we have a responsibility of conducting regular check-ups on all ongoing projects because at the end of the day, we will have to account for all these monies we advocate for during campaigns,” Ruto said.

The deputy governor stressed the fact that the Kinuthia Mbugua led administration was committed on leaving a lasting legacy in the region under the new system of governance.
