Zachary Njoroge, who succumbed on Sunday due to a stampede and serious burns after fire engulfed the institution, is set to be buried at their Lanet home.
The body of the deceased was transported from the Kenyatta National Hospital on Tuesday to their home which according to Zachary’s father was to bury him as fast as they could so as to forget the painful memories.
Speaking to Hivisasa.com at his home on Wednesday, Mr Njoroge regrets the incident saying that the culprits must face the full arm of the law.
“It’s very painful to lose a loved one in such a way, the school administration must explain this incident in details because majority of my family members are yet to accept the reality of my son's death,” he noted, amid tears in his eyes.
“We want to bury him tomorrow because this incident in causing unbearable torment to us, let him just rest in peace,” he added.
The Sunday night inferno at the Limuru school saw two students lose their lives instantly while another succumbed while undergoing treatment at the Kenyatta National Hospital.
Eleven students were arrested in connection with the fire with police ruling out a possibility of an electric fault arguing that preliminary investigations indicated that all electric cables were intact.
Edwin Mugo will be buried on Saturday in Karatina while Ian Kamau is set for Tuesday next week in Githunguri as police continue with their investigations into the incident.
The school has since then closed indefinitely as the parable of the fire remains unsolved.
