Njoro MP Joseph Kiuna has given the Nakuru County Commissioner Mohamed Birik seven days to destroy illicit brew in Rhonda and Kaptembwa wards.

Kiuna has said that illicit brew in his constituency comes from the two areas saying that if after the seven days nothing will have been done, he will lead a crackdown himself to rid the area of illicit brew.

"All the illicit brew in Njoro comes from Rhonda estate and Kaptembwa. We are telling the county commissioner to do his work within the next one week failure to which we shall storm those areas and pour those brews," Kiuna told journalists on Sunday at Lare.

Kiuna claimed that some members of the county administration have been bribed to shied the brewers of the illicit brews.

"We shall go there and we will not fear that police will throw tear gas to us. We know some people have been bribed to leave alone the merchants of business of death in those areas," added Kiuna.

Rhonda Ward has one of the biggest informal settlements in Nakuru Town.
