Police in Nyamira South Sub-County have launched a man-hunt for a primary school teacher who allegedly raped a minor on Thursday.
According to Ramba location Chief Joshua Mayuya, the middle aged man defiled the class eight pupil on Thursday evening in the teachers' servant quarters after he tricked the girl.
According to the manager of the school Fredrick Onsakia, some teachers noticed that the girl had difficulties walking prompting them to find out what the problem was.
The chief condemned the act and said that so far, they have informed the police, who have launched a search for the runaway teacher.
According to the father of the minor, who seeked anonymity, he is very frustrated and is calling for the police to speed up and arrest the man so that he can face the law for defiling his daughter.
The molested girl is currently at Nyamira Hospital where she is undergoing treatment.
