Police are known to maintain law and order and some people fear them to the extent that they run away from them if they come in contact with them.
Kibera residents have another side with the police saying they are very hardworking and sociable people who provide them with security.
On this note, the Administration Police have decided to extend their good deeds to residents by supporting education.
Sergeant James Muturi who spoke to parents during the Kibera education day on behalf of the district commander of Administration Police vowed to work hand in hand with the area MP Ken Okoth in supporting education.
“We as police are feared and often regarded as being anti-social but I thank you Kibera residents for you have been very social to us. We have decided to extend our hand by standing with your children as they seek education to quench their thirst for knowledge,” said Sergeant Muturi.
He further said the Administration Police in Kibera will continue to work hard by providing security to school going children and residents so as to achieve economic development.
He urged other leaders to support education and security for a better and peaceful Kibera.
