The Chairman of the Deputy Governors' Forum Dr Joash Maangi has predicted that the cases facing Deputy President William Ruto and journalist Joshua Sang at the International Criminal Court are bound to collapse.
On Thursday, the deputy governor said Ruto, just like President Uhuru Kenyatta, is innocent.
Maangi observed that soon the truth about the Deputy President's ICC case will come out and he will be a free man to continue serving the country and the people of Kenya on whose mandate he and President Uhuru were elected to lead the country.
Speaking at Kisii University during the National Elders Conference attended by elders from the 47 counties, Maangi predicted that the same way President Uhuru’s case collapsed, so will Ruto and Sang's cases and they will be set free.
"I am convinced beyond reasonable doubt that the case facing our Deputy President William Ruto is bound to collapse as it happened to President Uhuru's case and have the duo continue discharging their duties of leading the country," stated the county’s deputy boss.
Maangi called on the councils of elders in the country to use their revered positions in their respective communities to spearhead prayers for peace and the country's leadership to seek divine intervention on the challenges facing the country and its leadership.
