A security guard of a petrol station was arraigned before a Nakuru court on Monday charged with the theft of a motor cycle.

Philip Amemba is accused of allegedly stealing a motor cycle valued at Sh92,000, the property of John Kamau at a petrol station in Tumaini near Murunyo shopping center.

Amemba faces second account of the same charge for not preventing an act of stealing that was taking place at that time while he was there.

He is a watchman at the petrol station where the motorcycle was parked by the owner.

Appearing before Principle Magistrate Bernard Ndenda, Kipkorir pleaded not guilty and pleaded with the court to give him a favorable bond terms so that he can handle the case while outside.

He was given a surety bond of Sh50,000 and an alternative cash bail of Sh30,000

The case will be heard on October 6.
