Nyamira Senator Kennedy Mong’are has lashed out at his critics about his commitment to support development in the county.
Mong’are has been in the frontline accusing the leadership of Governor John Nyagarama something that has not augured well with the governor’s supporters.
But during an interview with Hivisasa.com on Sunday evening at Marsh Park Hotel in Kisii, Mong’are told off his critics and vowed to continue fighting for good governance in the county.
“No one will ever stop me from fighting for transparent leadership. Those questioning my integrity should produce tangible evidence that I am against development. As a visionary leader, I want real development and not just questionable projects,” he said.
He once again accused Nyagarama of allegedly bribing MCAs to support his questionable projects.
“Nyamira people are crying for good leadership and that can only be achieved if all leaders come together and fight impunity. The governor has hijacked development by bribing MCAs to abandon their constitutional roles of oversight and legislation,” he alleged.
Mong’are said plans are underway to conduct a protest against the county government’s leadership to pressurise it to accommodate transformative leadership.
“We will soon go to the streets to demand for better governance. Critical issues such as corruption ought to be addressed before you call for our support to development activities,” he said.
