Nakuru County government has signed a contract of Sh38 million meant to  facilitate setting up of affordable shops for youths.

Governor Kinuthia Mbugua said the shops  will benefit youths from Gilgil, Naivasha, Nakuru and Njoro among other Sub-Counties.

Kinuthia was speaking during a live interview on Citizen TV where he challenged the youth to be more conversant with kitties meant to benefit them.

“So far we have disbursed Sh240 million in bursaries since 2013 and we are about to release Sh55 million in September and October through our bursary kitty which will help youths pursue education," Kinuthia explained in the broadcast.

 He said his administration is committed to facilitate the youth in getting hold of their rightful share of 30 per cent of all government tenders.
