St Theresa Development Centre in Naivasha, Nakuru County has a new playing ground courtesy of DHL Express. The facility that was constructed by DHL for the center as part of their corporate social responsibility.
St Theresa Development Centre was established by Fr. Isaac Makarios as a rehabilitation center for sexually molested children between the age of 2 to 16. Apart from rehabilitation, it is home to 150 children and women.
Speaking during the handing over of the playing field, DHL Express managing director Charles Brewer said that this was just the start as they have in store many more projects to better the lives of people.
“Our role in global trade is more than just moving boxes; it’s about how we can be involved in the people’s lives,” he said adding that DHL has been an important partner for the center since the year 2006.
