Police in Masinga are looking for three suspected robbers who escaped arrest on Tuesday night at a hotel in Masinga shopping center.
The three are said to be part of a gang that has been harassing members of public in the area.
Masinga OCPD Joel Chebii said members of the public who became suspicious of the suspects informed police who swung into action before the escape.
The officers according to Chebii arrested three others.
He further said the suspects were cornered near the gate at Tass Hotel compound.
It is suspected that they were planning a for robbery at the hotel.
Speaking to this reporter on phone on Wednesday, Chebii said the arrested suspects were found in possession of a motorcycle registration number KMCF 968J, two toy pistols and a fake Criminal Investigations Directorate identification card.
The three are being held at Masinga Police Station and will be arraigned in court when police are through with investigations.
The police are still pursuing the three who escaped.
