Students who will manage to get admissions to national secondary schools from Kitutu Masaba will be sponsored through the CDF kitty, an official has confirmed.
Justus Omiti, a personal assistant to area MP Timothy Bosire revealed the sponsorship deal on Thursday during a tour at Riakworo Primary School in which the constituency leadership dished out geometrical sets to over 50 candidates.
He said the move aims at giving hope to a number of children who excel in KCPE and fails to report to national schools due to fee payment difficulties.
“The MP wants to eradicate cases in which bright students miss admission to national school due to fee payment difficulties. He has sent me to pass the massage to all Kitutu Masaba candidates to work hard and have little worry in case they get admission to national secondary schools. There fee will be cleared by CDF,” he said.
According to Mr Omiti, five students who managed admissions to national schools could not report and the leadership was reported days after the 2014 candidates had reported to their new schools.
“He (Mr Bosire) is keen to avert situations where children get admitted to performing institutions and fail to report. This year, we had five such cases and its prime responsibility of the head teachers to make the leadership aware,” he said.
Mr Omiti confirmed programs were in place by the administration to carter for lunch for all 2015 KCPE students ahead of November exams as a way of motivating them.
