Two people impersonating Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) officers were arrested by police officers in Eldoret after they were found in possession of fake KDF admission letters.

Speaking after the arrest of the suspects at Huruma AP camp in Eldoret, Eldoret West deputy police commander Mr Ben Abuga said the two have been conning unsuspecting members of the public claiming that they could secure them admission at Kenya Defence forces Recruits training school (RTS) at Moi Barracks in Eldoret.

Mr Abuga said the suspects had accumulated Sh1.6 million by conning the members of the public.

“We received complaints from some of the members of the public that there are some people alleging to be KDF officials selling admission letters and this prompted us to swing into action and we managed to arrest two suspects with fake admission letters,” said Abuga.

Abuga warned members of the public not to fall prey to such scandals since Kenya Defence Forces normally conducts their recruitment openly and nobody is required to give out money.
