Ruiru police officers are holding two murder suspects connected to the murder of a Nairobi Institute of Business Studies student apprehended on Saturday evening.
Through interrogation of an eye witness and other students residing next to the deceased, the police got necessary information to apprehend the two who are being held as investigations are still being carried out.
Area police boss Isaac Thuranira told the press that the students are helping the police among them Juja and Thika detectives investigate the murders of a student and a tout at Ndarugo area of Juja constituency.
Thuranira added that it has been easy as the students are ready to speak what they knew and thus the police have fast-tracked the probe so as to serve the family and friends of the deceased with justice.
The institution’s CEO, Mrs Liz Wanyoike, has expressed his disappointments following the murder of the student saying that the other students and mostly classmates have been mentally and emotionally affected.
She has further called on anyone with information that could help the police in the investigations to share with her saying that some of them maybe fearing sharing with the police.
The Ruiru OCPD has further vowed to bring the culprits of the murder to book and said that the two suspects will be arraigned in court once they are through with investigations.
