Two men were arraigned in a Nakuru court on Friday for stealing electricity cable and sockets. Paul Ndicho and Joseph Mbata allegedly stole 60 metres of electricity cable and four sockets worth Sh20,000 belonging to Nancy Waithera on unknown date in Mutito B village in Njoro Sub-county.

Appearing before Chief Magistrate Joel Ngeno, they denied the charges are they were released on Sh 20,000 cash bail accompanied by weekly statements.

The two accused plead for reduction of cash bail but the court turned deaf hears. Ngeno urged the accused to seek the complainant after paying the bail and talked with her in order to settle the matter outside the court.

The case will be heard on September 14.
