Embattled Lake Victoria South Water Services Board chief executive officer Eng Moses Agumba claims his life is in danger.
Agumba said some people have been trailing him with an intention of killing him. He said he has reported the matter to the police for further action.
However, he said he will not be cowed by such threats but will continue discharging his duties.
Agumba was recently suspended from office for alleged misappropriation of funds but later got a court order reinstating him.
Addressing a press conference in Kisumu on Monday, Agumba linked the fear for his life to the ongoings at the board. He says that some board members are against his reinstatement.
He said a threat to his life will lower his working morale and wants the police to investigate the matter expeditiously.
Agumba who has worked at the board for four years says he has worked peacefully until the new board that was instituted three months ago came in when his woes started.
“My problems started when this board came in and I will not allow them to mess my career,” he said.
