Yatta MP Francis Mwangangi has assured business operators in his area that he intends to raise the standards of the Business centres by the end of next year.

He said shops will be constructed at Kithimani Town and insisted that all the temporary market stalls that have been a hindrance to the open air markets in the area will be demolished. He said those operating from the stalls should vacate before the demolition.

The legislator was speaking on Tuesday in Kithimani Town when he hosted business owners in Yatta Constituency in a move to seek the areas they want improvement on.

He assured his constituents that he has enough funds in his office to improve the infrastructure of the area in this financial year and vowed to utilize the funds maximally in the welfare of the common mwananchi.

Mwangangi, however, blamed some of the local leaders who he according to him are politicking at the wrong time as 2017 is far from now and said that this is the time for development and not politics.

"Some people are conducting campaigns now instead of giving the public time to experience the developments brought about by the elected leaders. We cannot accept that, this is time for work," he said.

The MP was addressing grievances by market traders over the delayed expansion of an open air market in the area. He said that the public must support Governor Mutua in his development agenda in Ukambani region.
