Bonchari constituency residents have been urged to be calm as their insecurity grievances in the area have been presented to Kisii county commissioner.

Addressing angry residents who marched to the county commissioner’s office Wednesday, deputy county commissioner Philip Soi, who represented the county commissioner who is out for an official tour, urged the residents to be calm as their grievances are being addressed.

"We have heard your grievances and we are going to work on them to make sure that we have a solution for a better Bonchari,” said Mr Soi.

He added that the grievances should also be presented to the county security committee for necessary measures to be put in place to curb insecurity.

Led by their MCA Protus Aramba Moindi, who is also a majority leader in the county assembly, the residents protested and stormed to the office of the county commissioner, citing rampant insecurity cases.

“Since we don’t have peace in our area we need help from the office of the county commissioner,” said Mr Moindi

MCA Philip Obote Motonu (Riana ward) was also present during the demo.
