Youths from Gesima ward in Kitutu Masaba constituency have been urged to seek professional advice before embarking on various projects that are sponsored by area leaders and well-wishers.
This comes days after a number of youths projects reported giving negative returns despite owing much to various banks.
Speaking on Friday at Kimwarimu area, Gesima MCA Ken Atuti said lack of professional advice of certain projects is the reason why many youths groups were fairing badly despite enormous support from authorities.
“Sometimes many of you come with up wonderful projects which we normally support but unfortunately, many of you never seek advice from experts and that is why those projects do not spur to something tangible,” he said.
Atuti promised to hire experts on various projects that area youths intend to do besides warning financial impropriety from a section of youth leadership from various groups.
“I will be sending professionals in projects that you launch ranging from agriculture to business because I want to see our youths succeed. Those groups with questionable returns must bring their leadership into accountability,” he added.
His sentiments were supported by aspirant Osebe Nyambati who lauded the move to have experts guide youths in setting up projects.
“This is a wonderful move by our MCA. As those in opposition, we will support the idea because it is good for our people,” he said.
