K.C.S.E candidates who are waiting to receive their national exam results in late February have been advised to help their parents in farming.
This way according to Mary Nyambura who is the Mariaini Nyumba Kumi official, they will be able to plan their next move in life as well as make savings for further studies.
Speaking from Mariaini, Nyambura noted that farming can be very useful for learned youths who according to her can even add value to the farming methods in the area. Nyambura noted that the youngsters are energetic and can make use of the little time they have with parents to develop their farms.
The official urged parents to take advantage of their children's presence at home to till their land before the long season of rain. She observed this as a better way of preventing the youth from mixing with bad groups that can ruin their lives.
The youngsters were also encouraged to join colleges for short term courses using their mock exams.
She urged the youth to obey their parents and observe the law of land to avert their crisis with police.
