Somalia president Hassan Sheikh Mohammud has revealed that at least 180 KDF soldiers were killed in Somalia.
The slain soldiers were attacked by the Al-Shabaab militia group at El-Adde camp where they had gone on the AMISOM mission.
News of their deaths raised many questions in the mind of Kenyans.
The January mid incidence left many families of the slain solders with deep pain since some of the families are yet to get their loved ones as Al-Shabaab captured some KDF soldiers during the attack.
President Mohammud released the information during a television interview with a Somali cable television station. The revelation by the Somalia president has raised mixed reactions from Kibera people. Some have accused the Somali president of not helping the KDF soldiers escape death.
Suzie Mwalati said the Kenyan government has failed since it has not shown much effort in searching for the unfound soldiers.
Marko Odhiambo said if the Somalia government had known of the planned attack by the Al-Shabaab it should have alerted the KDF soldiers. He believes Somalia had a hand in the killings.
