Six people escaped death in a road accident along Machakos-Mtaboni road today Feb 10.
Confirming the accident Mitaboni MCA Kitoo said the 14 passenger matatu was overspeeding when it developed mechanical problems losing control and hit a lorry loaded with stones parked alongside the road.
No one was inside the lorry when the accident occurred.
The injured people including the driver of the Nissan matatu were rushed to Machakos level five hospital by well-wishers.
Kitoo said that the place has become black spot as many people have perished at the place for the last one year.
He therefore warned drivers to be extra vigilant and use required speed when driving and that bumps will be put in place to reduce accidents.
"All drivers and other road users should be careful when driving at this place which has cost may lives," said Kitoo.
