She said that Munyu green houses Irrigation project phase two will be operational very soon saying that beneficiaries would start utilising water to irrigate their farms in less than a month.

The MP called upon the county government of Kiambu to be ready to offer extension services once the contractor will complete the remaining work.

Ng’ang’a made the remarks when she inspected the ongoing projects in Muguga to inspect the progress of the work where she also met with farmer’s groups among them those that benefitted from green houses earlier.

She said that phase three of the project would soon start once the contractor for phase two left the site saying that the whole project will have covered three quarters of the two wards.

The legislator said that the national government will continue to hold construction projects and hand them over to the county government to manage and provide extension services.

MP Ng’ang’a underscored the importance of leaders at national and county levels working together because they were serving the same residents on the ground.
