Political activist Abdul Noor has raised a red alarm over what he termed as rampant drug abuse among youths in Nakuru's London estate.
Noor said a large percentage of youths in the estate engage in drug use and are doing it openly.
He said the young men and women are spending a lot of time peddling and using drugs instead of working.
"London estate is rotten because the young people there have become slaves of drugs and they are doing it openly without any fear and this is worrying because these young people are wasting away their lives," said Noor.
The activist added that if no action is taken, then the estate will turn into a criminal den.
"The police must take action and arrest those people openly selling drugs in London or else the place will become a den of hardcore criminals," he said.
The activist said drug abuse has contributed to many teenage pregnancies in the area as well as children dropping out of school.
