Speaking on Thursday in Rhonda, Makau said they had received several complaints from parents who blamed video hall owners for exposing their children to violent and X-rated movies and promised that they would soon take action.

"If we find you admitting minors into movie halls then don't blame anybody because we will arrest you, ban your business and prosecute you in court because you are messing up with innocent children," he warned.

He added that such incidents had increased in the past two weeks since schools closed and that such acts were not only setting a bad precedent to the minors but also compromising their moral integrity.

He also warned children against frequenting movie halls and promised that they would equally be punished for that.

"Any child whom we find inside a movie hall will not go unpunished because you have no business there. Help your parents now that school is closed or read your books," he said.

The police boss, however, blamed parents for neglecting their parental duties noting that there was no way a child could frequent such places without their knowledge and challenged them to be keener with their children always.
