The sacking of Raymond Komen as Nakuru County Chief of Staff could be just what he needed at this point in time as he embarks on winning the Rongai parliamentary seat.
Komen, a young and popular businessman in Rongai, was sacked on Friday last week under unclear circumstances, and this will not only win him sympathy votes but give him ample time to campaign.
“Apart from creating him sympathy votes which he'll no doubt use to hit at the current administration, his removal creates time for him to go full scale on the ground campaigning for the seat he's eyeing that is said to be the real reason for his woes,” said Mr Elijah Kinyanjui, a Nakuru based political analyst.
It has not been a smooth ride for Komen as he faced frustrations since he began his tenure in his office.
There have been allegations that he did not have decent furniture in his office.
His sacking will also be a big blow to the governor who has announced his re-election bid in the 2017 polls, over the county government's relationship with the electorate in Rongai.
