Kitutu Chache North Member of Parliament Jimmy Angwenyi says embattled Devolution CS Anne Waiguru should stay put and ignore calls for her resignation.

Speaking on Friday at Nyankanda in Marani, Angwenyi said it would be unfair to send Waiguru home without giving her a chanced to be heard.

The MP defended President Uhuru Kenyatta's decision to retain Waiguru in the cabinet. He said Kenyatta does not condone graft.

The MP was reacting to his Kitutu Chache South counterpart, Richard Onyonka who accused president Kenyatta of slowing down in the fight against corruption in the country.

"Uhuru is in the frontline in the fight against corruption. Some of these people who are shouting are the ones who have benefited from National Youth Service (NYS) program," he said.

Speaking on Thursday in Kisii on Thursday, Onyonka alleged Uhuru had gone back on his pledge for the fight against corruption.

He asked Devolution cabinet secretary Anne Waiguru to step aside and pave way for investigations following adverse allegations of graft in NYS.
