Parents in Gisaiga sub-location in Bobasi who have challenges in paying their children’s college fees have been advised to seek help from the Constituency Development Fund.
Area Assistant chief James Mogo told the parents that the CDF bursaries were introduced for students with such challenges, especially those from poor families and so they should not fear applying for them instead of suffering in silence.
Speaking on Sunday evening at Getobo village during a funds drive in aid of Thomas Otucho's son who is pursuing studies at Kisii University, Mogo challenged parents with children in middle-level colleges and universities to apply for the bursaries to supplement their college fees.
Mogo said his office is awaiting for the application forms for approval so as to forward them to the Bobasi CDF committee for endorsement and consideration for allocation of bursaries to the applicants.
"I am challenging every parent with a child in a middle level college or university and has challenges in paying their college fees to apply for the CDF bursaries and have the application forms brought to my office for approval and onward forwarding to the CDF committee for scrutiny and approval for college fees consideration," he stated.
