Nakuru Town West MP Samuel Arama who was elected on an ODM ticket has declared his support for President Uhuru Kenyatta ahead of 2017 general election.

The MP has continued to face criticism from a section of Jubilee coalition members in the county over his involvement in two parties.

"I am strongly behind President Uhuru Kenyatta in the coming 2017 elections. All I need is to see development in the county, therefore those criticising my decisions should desist and focus on developing their areas," Arama said.

Arama who was speaking in Nakuru on Tuesday however said that he is an ODM legislator until 2017 where he will make his decision on the party he will use to defend his seat.

"I am still an ODM legislator because I was elected through the party, but come 2017, I will decide on my next party that I will use to serve people from my region," he added.

Arama was on Tuesday criticised by former Nakuru County TNA branch chairman Dr Abdul Noor who accused him of being an ODM spy in the region.
