Armed robbers on Tuesday night invaded two homes in Konarock and Matumani areas in Matungulu Sub-County and made away with property and money of an unknown value.
Confirming the incident, Matungulu OCPD Joseph Cheshire said the suspects threatened the victims with guns prompting them to surrender their valuables.
He said police have not yet arrested any suspects in connection with the robbery and urged residents to cooperate with the police by providing information that may lead to the arrest of the suspects.
"The gang was heavily armed forcing the owners of the houses to surrender their valuables for fear of their lives,” said Cheshire.
This is the latest attack in a series of robberies that have been experienced in the sub-county.
The OCPD confirmed that several shops and premises have been broken into and goods worth thousands of shillings stolen in the past few weeks.
