Students who have applied for bursary in Bahati Constituency and are successful will start receiving their cheques as soon as the CDF office releases the list of the beneficiaries this week.
Area MP Kimani Ngunjiri said the CDF bursary committee is working tirelessly in scrutinising eligible applicants.
Speaking in Bahati on Tuesday, Ngunjiri said his office will be releasing a comprehensive list with the name of the beneficiaries anytime from now.
“I have a team that is working tirelessly in scrutinising the applications and so far they have done a good job. By the end of this week, we will have a compiled list with all the beneficiaries,” he said.
The MP also said the bursary will issue Sh5 million for the first quarter.
“We are giving Sh5 million for the first third and continue giving much more as the year goes by,” he said.
Ngunjiri added that his administration will continue supporting those from needy backgrounds to attain education at all costs because it is the only weapon they have to change their lives.
