Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri has praised the president for reshuffling his cabinet saying that the move is a clear indication that the president is on course in tackling corruption.

"The move taken by the president is a clear testimony that he is committed in fighting corruption," said Ngunjiri.

President Uhuru on Tuesday reshuffled his cabinet, sacking the five suspended ministers and increased the number of cabinet secretaries from19 to 20.

The President also brought in a number of politicians into the new Cabinet among them Senator Charles Keter (Energy).

Ngunjiri said that Parliament will fast track vetting and approval of new cabinet nominees for cabinet to allow efficiency of public service.

"We will vet and approve the list of cabinet nominees to enable them serve Kenyans," said Ngunjiri.

Ngunjiri also accused the opposition of detracting the service delivery by the Jubilee Administration.

"Cord has been attacking the government without giving valid reasons. The opposition should give the government space to achieve its missions," said Ngunjiri.

Speaking on Wednesday in Nakuru Town to the media, Ngunjiri called for tolerance among the politicians to propel the nation to greater heights of economic development.
