Bobasi MP Stephen Manoti has asked a school in his constituency to account for Sh1million allocated from the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) in aid of infrastructural development in the school.

Manoti said if the school’s management board fails to account for the funds, he will take necessary action and ensure public funds allocated to Kenyoro DOK Mixed Secondary School of Bassi Chache Ward in his constituency is accounted for.

Speaking on Saturday evening at Matongo1 SDA Church in Giasaiga Sub-Location, Manoti warned that he will not condone misappropriation of public funds in his constituency.

The tough talking lawmaker said his leadership will ensure all public funds allocated to schools and public projects out of the CDF kitty are accounted for to assure taxpayers value for their money.

Manoti put all school boards in his constituency on notice that they will be made to account for all the CDF public funds allocated for projects in their schools and were not used transparently.

"Any school board member or members who will be found to have misappropriated CDF public funds under their watch will face the law and made to account for the lost public funds," warned Manoti.
