A motorcycle operator in Mutuu town, Yatta Sub County was on Monday evening arrested with a 15-year-old girl in a rented house in Mutuu town. Speaking after the arrest, the Chief of Kangonde Location Mr Sebastian Mang'ee said that the girl had been reported missing on October 7, 2015.
"Our search for the girl has finally bore fruits. Together with her parents we have searched for her for almost a month now in all villages of Masinga. Her parents reported to me their daughter had gone missing and they suspected she had been lured by a man,” said Mang'ee.
The girl is a standard seven student of Mutwamwaki Primary School in Kangonde location Masinga Sub-County.
According to the parents, they got hints from a friend that the girl had been seen in Mutuu town on Sunday with the known boda Boda operator.
They launched a search immediately. The two were yesterday night handed over to the Mutuu Police Station as further investigation kicks off.
