The two traders went missing on Friday last week when they were reportedly abducted by unknown people in Heshima estate along the Nakuru-Nyahururu road.

Reports indicate Joseph Chege alias Jose and Simon Wachira alias Shem were found murdered at Gakoe forest in Kiambu County on the same day the went missing.

It is not yet clear what led to the bloody deaths of the two but residents who declined to be named pointed to business rivalry in the town as a possible cause.

“They were influential here. May be it is business interests or politics,” a trader who declined to be named said.

Family members were notified of the bodies and travelled to Nairobi on Thursday where they confirmed the identity of the two.

On Friday morning, a dull mood ruled the Wakulima market with traders speaking in whispers about the death. Police in Nakuru said they have no reports of the discovery of the two bodies.
